| This product was absolutely perfect.Good packaging, good layout, Excellent directions: clear and in color.I purchased this package for my father-in-law’s shower that has the ORIGINAL 50 year old PF Faucet.It turned out that i was delayed too many times so he did the installation himself including removing the original valve seats using a 4 sided, tapered screw removal tool. He said he was stuck and worried he did something wrong…. Well, He didn’t do anything wrong. All that was left was to add the threaded trim installation shafts and put the trim on. Looks and works great.Very well done.NOTE: NO tool included to remove the seats. That is noted sort of in the documentation.I would be glad to pay a $1.50 to have everything needed. Also, a set of spare washers for the next time needed would be great.I am trying to figure out wey I don’t start using this valve in all future shower installs. It’s just fine. Simple AND Elegant… How do you beat that?Kirk |

| Kit Stem is lighter than the pieces I replaced. The tool provided is short and it is difficult to turn given the length of the stem. The tool does not allow to tighten the piece that tightens the stem valve.The other parts are good to replace the handles. The separate pieces are more expensive at hardware stores and only certain parts are found. |

| I bought this set after completely losing cold water in my tub/shower. My house was built in 1985, and it appeared that the original stems were still in the house. The replacement stems went on without issue, and I now have cold water again. YAY! From start to finish took about 45 minutes, and that even included having to cut off one of the old stems with a hack saw. This set comes with all the parts you need to completely replace your stem valves.I would advise picking up a seat wrench. The kit comes with replacement seats, and a seat wrench is only a few bucks. Also, pay close attention to the type of nipple flanges you have installed on your tub/shower. This kits comes with a circle flange, but my tub had oval flanges due to a small second hole that was used to adjust water pressure. I had to order Danco #86571 Flange for Price Pfister in Chrome to finish the job and ensure the second small hole was covered. They were less than $6 each on Amazon so no big deal. |
| Very frustrating. I buy the kit so that I, not a plumber, will have everything I need. Now my house water is shut off, my shower is torn apart, and apparently it doesn’t come with a very specific type of wrench that is essential to remove a very hard to get to, rusted on part? Why wouldn’t it include it? I had to scramble to find something that worked. I ended up rigging the biggest allen wrench I had with some tweezers, but it was a huge pain. 👎👎👎Good news is it did come with everything else I needed, and I was able to get the job done. |
